Kerala Saree is known by the name Kasavu Sari. The term Kasavu means Zari/Jari (Thread traditionally made of fine gold or silver or copper), which is used in the border of Kerala Saree. The natural cotton dhoti was handcrafted by traditional Kerala weavers. The artist carefully designs and weaves in the fine Kasavu border and with colour accents to give it an elegant look. It takes several days to craft a fine masterpiece like this, starting from the seasoning of the cotton threads used, to the same on the loom by hand and weaving one.
